Gunnuhver on Reykjanes dangerous

The Civil Protection department has declared the area of Gunnuhver on Reykjanes hasardous. For some time the area has been developing rapidly and new hot springs emergning in roads and walking paths. The view platform is compleatly unsafe and should not be used under any circumstances. Thermal areas can change rapidly and serious injuries can occour if persons or animals fall into the boiling water. There can be hollow chambers under what seems hard and safe shell. A good advice is to knock with a stick og pole before walking over suspicious area. And not travel without company.
