Facts about studded tires:
Studded tires plow up the asphalt from the roads and create aerosol pollution. In some tires there are also hazardous chemicals which can be transported into the environment. It is therefore better for the environment and our common health to use all season tires, air bubble tires or grain tires rather than studded tires. It should not be necessary to drive on studded tires in winter provided the driving is mainly within the city limits.
