The telephone is one of the most important gadgets that we use. There are now on the market, mobile phones that use solar energy. The technological developments are rapid. It is important to choose a phone that suits you. It is unnecessary to have one with a myriad of possibilities that you never use.

Cheap phones from certified manufacturers may be just as good as very expensive ones. The main question is always; what do you need?

It is also important not to charge the mobile phones longer than necessary. If you leave the mobile plugged in for days you only waste energy.

It is important to recycle used phones and to give the old mobile away as a present if it is still functioning. Reuse and recycling are key concepts here.

There are also available phones with large buttons for those who have impaired sight and phones with higher sound volume for those who have impaired hearing. This has to be looked into as old age sets in.

Before you buy a new phone consider whether you really need it. If the battery is finished, you can simply replace the battery and the phone is like new.

It is not feasible that very young children use mobile phones, unless they are playing with toy-phones.

As far as radiation from mobile phones is concerned, there exist mobiles that are marked with the sign TCO 01 which means they release less radioactive energy.
