Synthetic Chemicals – guidelines
Many chemicals are suspected as harmful to human health or the environment.
Mankind has synthesized many chemicals which nature does not recognize and to which it does not know how to react. The result can be that those chemicals bioaccumulate in nature and cause harm. It is difficult to estimate how many synthetic chemicals have been produced, but there are probably more than 100,000. Presently we only know about how about 1% of them impact on human health and the environment.
Chemicals have a different impact depending on their type, composition and the amount used.
