Keeping a pet is thus people-friendly but not considered especially eco-friendly. You should feed your pet with nutritious healthy, preferably organic food. The animal feed which is sold in Iceland is checked by the food authorities and should be free from toxic chemicals. The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority supervises the import of pet food into Iceland and also supervises general animal health and food condition.
